Seal Beach Police Remind To Have A Safe, Enjoyable St. Patrick's Day

Look for extra enforcement, foot patrol officers, and free rides home thanks to Seal Beach Lions Club.

SEAL BEACH, CA — The Seal Beach Police Department is preparing for St. Patrick’s Day, Friday, March 17th.

"St. Patrick’s Day celebrations typically bring large crowds to the Main Street pubs and restaurants," Seal Beach Police Department Sgt. Mike Henderson said. "There will be additional Police Officers conducting foot patrol and DUI enforcement."

The Seal Beach Host Lions Club is providing a ride home to those too intoxicated to drive as part of their “SAFE RIDE HOME” program.

Parking enforcement will be suspended to encourage drunk drivers to seek alternate forms of transportation.

"The goal of the Seal Beach Police Department is to provide a safe and enjoyable St. Patrick’s Day celebration," Henderson said.
