This Seal Beach School Wins Big For Going Trash Free At Lunch Time
In a SoCal Wide Competition, this Seal Beach school won the Trash Free Lunch Challenge.

SEAL BEACH, CA — In a contest that was open to schools across Southern California,
McGaugh Elementary, won Grades of Green's Trash Free Lunch Challenge.
"The Challenge is a Southern California-wide competition aimed to divert lunchtime waste and instill environmental values," organizers of the event said. "J. H. McGaugh is this year's winning elementary school."

Since starting the challenge earlier this year, J. H. McGaugh has diverted 88% of its lunchtime waste, which means the school will divert 39 TONS in one school year according to Grades of Green.
