Seal Beach Weapons Station Conducts Drills This Week
The Seal Beach Weapons Station drills run through Wednesday of this week which includes loud voice speaker, blanks firing, and closures.

SEAL BEACH, CA āIf you see naval ships and hear the loudspeakers this week, don't be alarmed. A series of drills were underway through Wednesday, according to Seal Beach Naval Weapons Station.
Base security personnel continue to conduct drills aboard the naval weapons station on Tuesday and Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.
"Residents may see increased first responder activity around the base and in Anaheim Bay, and base gates may be closed for brief periods," a spokesperson said.

The station's Giant Voice mass notification loudspeaker system may also be used.
"On Wednesday morning Anaheim Bay may be closed for short periods, and blank ammunition may be fired inside the harbor," officials said.
