Shooting Suspect Turns Self In In Seal Beach
Seal Beach Police arrested a shooting suspect on Wednesday, following his self-surrender at the police station.

SEAL BEACH, CA — One man suffered multiple gunshots at a residence on 16th street Wednesday evening, Seal Beach police said.
"Officers responded to the 300 block of 16th Street regarding a call of a shooting on Wednesday evening," Seal Beach Police information officer Mike Henderson said. "The injured man had been shot several times in the leg."
He was tended by paramedics, and taken by ambulance to the UCI Medical Center, where his current condition is unknown.

"The man's injuries were not life-threatening," Henderson said. There was no need for police to search for the shooting suspect, as the man who claimed responsibility self-surrendered, according to Henderson.
"The suspect drove to the Seal Beach Police Department and turned himself in," Henderson said.

The suspect is identified as 54-year-old Mark Sickler, a Seal Beach resident. He is being held at the Seal Beach Police Station on the charge of Assault with a Deadly Weapon and related charges.
There was no information on what led to the shooting as of this report.
