Ah, the Super Funny, Super Knowing, Super Sweet, & Super FAST! to CATCH anyone in the audience being a BAD FOOL is back in town -- the one and only, Sister Of Late Nite Catechism (ala our heroine, Maripat Donovan). As always, she’s here with us because she’s been given another assignment for her exciting life of always be ready to do what ‘s needed to be done (& what need be taught). ... The needing can be for a Congregation & for Holiday Times, Or New Babies to be named or New Newlyweds, Or New Students needing a Good Education on regular schooling, but not to forget a dear need of religion in this difficult world, & Then there’s the Physical Life needs-- So, there’s often, wishes for some new money to support some of the need of fixing ... And, of course -- there’s always needed generosity in dire need for any older Sisters, who’ve worked & worked & given for a lifetime, but who don’t have pensions or Social Security or cash in their pockets. Hence, after all the delightful, comedy of the ever ready & caring Special Sister (Theater’s Maripat Donovan) always, no matter how tired of giving us have a wonderful, show of smiles & laughter, Maripat will be standing at the doorway for our gifts for older Sisters in need.

As for the special “Wild But Oh What Lotsa’ Fun” Special Sister Maripat is a real Hoot of Fun for Needs, Sister apparently has been pretty good with local Bingo, and the current is real needy now -- so she’s been pointed the appointment to go to the latest LATE NITE CATECHISM -LAS VEGAS (ala - SISTER ROLLS THE DICE)! This is about the very funniest tale yet, & Maripat is even more (Never -- Funnier than this Vegas Assignment. Within opening minutes, Sister has already taken care of using her super Radar eyes to catch which audience guys ain’t good for their gals: (one-No-Sox-ON); (one-Wearing-T-Shirt-Of-Bikinis); (one-Eying-Other-Gals); and (one-With-A-Cell-Phone-Buzzing)...UGH ! says Sister!! Sister tells a sincere Truism-- it isn’t a SIN for her to play Blackjack, or Coin Machines or Dice if the money is for good need, and no cheating or dirty words at all allowed. She even brings out her really cutie tiny little doggie to put on a clever well learned sweet little walk along the other games-- then marches quietly back to his room in the casino. She tells all to be ready to answer some questions to get religious prizes--& offers them to ask some religious questions of their own to Sister(each one was Funny to the Hilt with Maripat answering with absolutely terrific timing & funny faces & body moves galore(she’s a comedic artist, indeed--Do Come see it !!

Yes, there is a real very well-known Maripat Donovan: actress, comedian & audience-delighter, who gets non-stop chuckles plus downright avalanche LAUGHS every time she steps onto a Theatrical Stage (usually with a “teaching setting) of Catholic school. She’s also a writer along with her honors of the acting nominations & awards from Drama Groups & Reviews, (no doughty enuf to fill mantles remembering the many reviewers agreeing with her audiences. I’m sure that whether audience or in official Theatrical Groups, all agreed undeniably that her work was a charm & her talent worthy of Standing-Hurrahs from first curtain to last.

OK, one thing I bet that lots of happy folks enjoying Ms Maripat, probably did have a personal “wonder” in their minds: “Gee, she has so grand a brilliance of virtually everything about the Catholic religion ... well...?? Yup, I’d guess the far most ponder?? they have is, “Well IS She? ... or WAS She a real Catholic Sister Teacher to do this role? Wouldn’t, she have to be “the Real Thing” in order to readily fill the countless religious questions she was open to the years of audiences questions, and how “ABLE” she was to not only answer wisely, but also still add her own amazing instant comedies she easily slips into both entertain as well as any stand-up excellent comedian!! yet still does give the original question asked with wisdom (again and again). How can she be she be such an exceedingly fine (& quick) actress. I never asked for a 100% must spin-de-truth answer, but from comments Maripat spoke on stage & quite open interviews over the years...My answer is Maripat is gifted by being quite able & diverse a person to truly have both aspects: 1) of a fine Sister Teacher if called for; & 2) a superb actress in lightning words & facial/moves galore !!

Maripat Donovan’s co-writing & fine bringing alive of solo roles of Sister in Late Nite Catechism, brought tours & golden reviews that span Chicago, Boston, Providence, New York, Toronto, Philadelphia, Seattle, Portland, London & Dublin. Maripat portrayed other roles with raves as well, but her SOLO work as SISTER in Late Nite Catechism, showed outstanding nominations from the fine Outer Critics Circle Award in New York (Outstanding Solo Performance). Maripat WON the Drama Critics Circle Award-- Best Solo Performance in Los Angeles.

Maripat truly brings audiences both happy hours of talent & joy, Plus wisdoms of Catholicism. Las Vegas & money for aging Sisters is OK!
