Star Wars 'Batuu' Trading Post Arriving At Downtown Disney
Inside a replica of a Mayan ruin, Disney Imagineers have done their work once again. Here's what is next for the former Rainforest Cafe.
ANAHEIM, CA — The Star Wars Trading Post that took over Downtown Disney's Wonderground Gallery is moving to more permanent digs at the Rainforest Cafe.
In September, artists and fans of Wonderground Gallery were stunned as the art and artworks of some of Disney's favorite artists was removed in favor of a temporary trading post full of Star Wars merchandise. Now, that trading post will relocate to what many say is the perfect spot.
"The Walt Disney Imagineers have created a design inspired by a hidden jungle Resistance base," a spokesperson for the resort says. "It even includes Rey's iconic speeder prominently displayed at the entrance."

"This move gives you one more reason to visit," they said.
Plus, fans of WonderGround Gallery are breathing a heavy sigh of relief as the store will fill with artist renderings of some of Disney's favorite characters, once again.
