Stolen Car Pursuit Ends At Ball Road And Disneyland Drive

The pursuit of suspected car thieves led officers across Anaheim ended almost at the Disneyland parking structure, Wednesday.

ANAHEIM, CA — Drivers heading toward Disneyland the area of Ball Road and Disneyland Drive were startled by a police pursuit across Anaheim Wednesday. The chase ended when the suspect, driving a stolen car, crashed head-on into a police cruiser, Anaheim Police Sgt. Daron Wyatt said.

The chase started just before 10:30 a.m. at Orange Avenue and Euclid Street, said Wyatt.

Police followed the driver across on Manchester Avenue where the suspect behind the wheel drove southbound in the northbound lanes, Wyatt said.

"As the driver tried to negotiate a U-turn at Ball Road, the suspect slammed the car into a police cruiser at Disneyland Drive," Wyatt said.

The driver jumped out of the car and tried to run away, but he was subdued with a stun gun, Wyatt said. Two males and two females were arrested after the chase, Wyatt said. As of this report it is unclear as to the nature of charges for all arrested parties.
