Summertime Gathering of Artists

A wine tasting event will be

held at St. Isidore’s Historical Plaza on Saturday, June 8, from 3 to 6

PM.  Come meet and greet some of the

local artists and enjoy a taste of some specialty wines provided by the Seal

Beach Winery.  The artists will have

their work on display as well as relating to everyone the inspirational value

each had getting started.  There will be

selected pieces of art to be auctioned. 

This notable event will be held at the Plaza at 10961 Reagan Street in

Los Alamitos.









Bill Fisher
who hails from Germany and lives in Old Town Orange has been combining
photography with various painting media to create mixed media works on paper or
canvas.  His work is displayed at
Showcase Gallery in South Coast Village. 
Bill and Ellen, his wife, are avid hikers in surrounding areas which is
evident in his work.






Pamela Clauss,
living in the Sierras, became enamored of nature, wilderness and historical
towns, especially those on the Golden Chain which is Highway 49.  Her chosen media of expression is the
spontaneity of water color.  She received a BFA degree from CSULB. For many years, she has shared her love of watercolor
by teaching its techniques.



Francesca Brayton also favors watercolor and mixed media creating scenes from beaches
and other exotic locales.  She enjoys
painting flowers and to exhibit the charm of places she has visited.  Francesca has lived in Los Alamitos for 38
years.   Her work can be seen at the
Copperwood Artware Gallery in Orange.





 Eric Schommer, oil on canvas medium, has been interested in art at

a very early age.  He received awards in
College as well as being teacher’s pet with the highest grade yet of 50 points
over an A+.  His two main interests are

large luxury liners and wild life.  He
has his work on the Queen Mary as well as at the Parkhurst Gallery in Ports
O’Call, Long Beach.




Rachel van der Pol who was born in Naaldwijk, Holland and lives in Los

Angeles primarily uses the medium of stained glass mosaics.  Rachel’s pieces are characterized by bold
color, detailed design and self-portrait subject matter.  She attended Cal State University at
Fullerton where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree.
