A teen was shot and several schools were locked down on Friday in Santa Ana. Police actively sought 2 men suspected in the shooting.

SANTA ANA, CA — Tensions were high in Santa Ana after a 17-year-old boy was shot several times in the upper body and taken to a nearby hospital midday Friday. That shooting triggered lockdowns at two nearby schools, and police were looking for two suspects.
The victim was shot just before 11:10 a.m. near 15th and Durant streets in an alley and staggered onto the lawn of a law office near 15th and Broadway before collapsing, said Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
The unidentified teen was rushed to an area hospital, where he was undergoing surgery, Bertagna said.
Orange County School of the Arts and the Willard Intermediate School were both on total lockdown, until those were lifted at approximately 1 p.m. Friday.
