Three Dogs Stung to Death by Bee Swarm
Three Australian shepherds died today in an attack by a swarm of bees from a backyard hive.

Three dogs were stung to death by a swarm of bees in Santa Ana this afternoon.
The Australian shepherds were attacked by the bees about 1:30 p.m. in the 2200 block of North Olive Street, according to Santa Ana police Cpl. Anthony Bertagna.
The city’s animal control officers traced the swarm back to a hive in a shed to the rear of a home near where the dogs’ bodies were found, Bertagna said. The property owners have made arrangements to have the hive removed, he said.
