LOS ALAMITOS, CA — Thunderstorms returned to Los Alamitos, Seal Beach and Orange County overnight, bringing rain and a crackling display from the clouds above. Forecasters show that calmer conditions would return to the area Tuesday.

North Laguna Beach once again suffered a power outage during the massive storm.

Monday's storms dropped nearly half an inch of rain in some areas, according to the National Weather Service. Even with the oil spill that has closed area beaches, the Orange County Health Agency released a rain advisory statement for bacteria in the water, encouraging any with the mind to get in the ocean, even with the threat of toxic oil in the water, to stay out.

Dry weather is expected for the weekend.
