Truck Stolen In Seal Beach Senior Community, Police Look To ID Suspect

The unidentified man stole the truck from inside the Leisure World community in late July.

SEAL BEACH, CA — The Seal Beach Police Department asked for the public's help Tuesday in identifying a suspect accused of stealing a truck from the inside of the Leisure World community in Seal Beach last month

The theft happened at around 5 a.m. on Sunday, July 24, when an unknown male suspect was captured on surveillance footage entering into the community's maintenance yard, located near 13533 Seal Beach Blvd.

The man was seen entering the workshop, loading a cart full of tools and placing the tools into a white pickup truck, authorities said. He then stole the tools, truck and left the scene shortly after.

The suspect was described as a white man around 40 years of age who stands at about six feet. At the time of the theft, he was wearing a black shirt with graphics on the front, dark colored pants, white tennis shoes and black gloves.

The truck was found abandoned in the City of Carson days later, but authorities said the tools had been removed from the back.
