Two C.A. Beaches Named Among the Top Pet-Friendly Beaches in the U.S.
Two local California beaches have been selected for a list of top ten pet-friendly beaches across the country.
Living or traveling out to the pacific coast means getting to see some of the most beautiful beaches in the U.S. No one wants to leave their four legged friends at home when they can come along and enjoy the scenery. That is why it’s important to know which local beaches allow dogs to come along and have the best experience in a stress-free environment. Invitation Homes conducted a study about the best pet-friendly beaches in the United States, and California has two beaches that rank in the top ten in the country!

Long Beach, CA
Rosie’s Dog Beach, located at Long Beach, is the only beach in the LA area where dogs are allowed off-leash. The beach provides some equipment to help you clean up after your furry friend with plenty of trash cans and restrooms as well. The waterfront park is three acres in size, allowing your dog the perfect amount of space to run and play in the water. Rosie’s Dog Beach is open from 6:00am to 8:00pm everyday.

San Diego, CA
Traveling a little further down the coast lands you at Del Mar beach. Located just outside San Diego, this beach stretches nearly one half mile to the border allowing optimal space for your dog to run, play fetch, or just hang out. Locals refer to the north end of the beach as “Dog Beach” because dogs are allowed off-leash for the majority of the year (Labor Day through June 15th). Along with the beach, there are designated dog parks that also allow you and your dogs to be close to the coast and have fun!
