Father, Son Killed In Seal Beach Fatal Collision
Two people were killed Friday morning in a fatal collision on the 405 in Seal Beach. A child and two others were injured in the crash.

SEAL BEACH, CA - A father and his 3-year-old son were killed, their family injured Friday in the southbound San Diego (405) Freeway in Seal Beach.
The accident occurred about 2:30 a.m. just north of the Seal Beach Boulevard exit and the carpool and No. 1 through 4 lanes are blocked, according to a California Highway Patrol dispatcher.
According to authorities, the family's 2011 Honda CRV became disabled, and the man and his son got out of the vehicle, which was then rear-ended by a 2006 Toyota Rav4. The man's wife and their daughter had remained inside the Honda.

"This is a highway," California Highway Patrol Officer Duane Graham said. "If you become disabled for any reason, if you can't safely make your way to the shoulder, you want to stay within the vehicle if you can, keep everyone restrained within the vehicle and call 911 to get help."
The man and his son died at the scene, said Capt. Steve Concialdi of the Orange County Fire Authority. The boy's age was not immediately known, but he was a juvenile, Concialdi said.
