Volunteer at Los Alamitos Church Accused of Molesting Boy

A youth group volunteer for churches in Los Alamitos and Cypress is scheduled to be arraigned tomorrow on charges of molesting two boys.

Isai Beltran, 25, of Long Beach, is accused of molesting one of the boys on April 1 of last year, according to the Orange County District Attorney’s Office. He met the alleged victim through his work as a youth group volunteer, prosecutors said.

Beltran met the other boy through a gathering of church members, and allegedly molested him on Nov. 28, according to prosecutors.

Beltran could face up to 10 years in prison if convicted of two felony counts of performing lewd acts on a child younger than 14, and one misdemeanor count each of sexual battery and child annoyance.
