A police traffic stop-turned-car chase happened right in front of a family, this week in Santa Ana, as seen on this Neighbors app video.
SANTA ANA, CA — A Santa Ana resident watched as a traffic stop turned into a car chase in Santa Ana this week. One person was arrested following that pursuit, Santa Ana Cpl. Anthony Bertagna told Patch.
Santa Ana police officers attempted to pull a suspect over for an unknown violation shortly before midnight, Monday. The resident pulled out their camera as the ordinary traffic stop turned into a suspect fleeing from police down the quiet street.

The driver fled the police, and a short chase ensued down the 1600 block of South Center Street, Bertagna said. One person was arrested during the incident.
Cesar Avila, 37, was arrested on charges of drug possession (meth), evading police, and probation violation.
