Weekend of Art in Los Alamitos Deadline Extended
To submit an artist application for the 5th Annual Weekend of Art in Los Alamitos has been extended to Monday, March 16
LOS ALAMITOS, CA ā The weekend of art is coming to Los Alamitos, and the city has extended the deadline to submit an artist application for the 5th Annual Weekend of Art in Los Alamitos has been extended to Monday, March 16.
Artists of all ages and skill level are encouraged to submit artwork to display at the event on Friday, March 20 and Saturday, March 21 at the Los Alamitos Community Center.
Awards will be given in the following divisions for visual artists:

Mayorās Award: 1st place
Commissionerās Award: 1st place
Art Educatorās Award: 1st place
Peopleās Choice Award: 1st place
Most Artistic School in the Los Alamitos Unified School District: 1st place
Two Dimensional Awards:
Elementary Division (Pre-K-5th grade) Awards: 1st-3rd place
Middle School Division (6th-8th grade) Awards: 1st-3rd place
High School Division (9th-12th grade) Awards: 1st-3rd place
Adult (High School Graduate+) Division Awards: 1st-3rd place

Three Dimensional Awards:

This FREE event is a great opportunity to highlight your talent and each artist is allowed to
submit up to three art pieces in any medium. Winning artists will receive a gift card to the Art
Supply Warehouse in Westminster, a certificate signed by the Mayor, and an award ribbon.
First place winners receive a $100 gift card, 2 nd place winners receive a $50 gift card, and 3 rd
place winners receive $25 gift card.
The City of Los Alamitos thanks the Art Supply Warehouse in Westminster for their contributions to the event! The event will also include arts and crafts vendors, childrenās art activities, and live entertainment.

- 10:00am-10:45am ā Parent and Me Mini Art Class (Ages 3.5-5)o 11:00am-12:00pm ā Youth Mini Art Class (Ages 6-11)
- 1:15pm-1:20pm ā Los AL Rec Song Team
- 1:30pm-2:30pm ā Follow Along Mini Paint Class (Ages 15+)
- 2:50pm-3:30pm ā The Hep Cats (Long Beach City College Jazz Students)
- 3:30pm-4:30pm ā Rad Ro Baking Mini Cookie Decorating Class (Ages 15+)
- 4:30pm-4:40pm ā Los Alamitos Recreation Dance Programs
