Westminster Mall's Simon Academy to Hold Graduation and Scholarship Presentation June 13
The Simon Youth Academy at Westminster Mall will hold a graduation and scholarship presentation on Thursday, June 13 to honor the perseverance and accomplishments of an at-risk teen.
The Simon Youth Foundation Academy Scholarship Recipient is:
- Michelle Lafuentehas received a Simon Youth Foundation Academy Scholarship valued at $7,700 over two years.
The scholarship is awarded to an individual who has worked tirelessly to earn their diploma, and seek to pursue their dreams in post-secondary education. SYF is a national non-profit dedicated to providing educational and career development opportunities to youth.
“We are so excited to honor this amazing young woman,” said Rajeev Chhabra, General Manager, Westminster Mall. “The dedication to her future inspires all of us.”
More than $1 million in Simon Youth Scholarships will be awarded this spring nationwide, surpassing $10 million since the program’s inception. In 15 years, more than 10,000 graduates have earned their diplomas at Simon Youth Academies at a 90% graduation rate.
