Youth Basketball, Song Team Registration Starts In Los Alamitos
Young basketball players and cheerleaders are being sought for the City of Los Alamitos Co-ed Youth Basketball League and Song Team.

LOS ALAMITOS, CA — Are you looking to get involved in Los Alamitos? Registration for the city's co-ed Youth Basketball League and Song Team is underway, and residents were urged to apply by Thursday, Jan. 11.
The co-ed Youth Basketball League, sponsored by MemorialCare Miller Children's and Women's Hospital Long Beach and in partnership with Jr. Clippers, will take place from Jan. 29 through April 19.
Divisions offered range from K-8 grade, the city said, with practices taking place at local school sites during the week and games taking place on Saturdays at the Oak Middle School Gym.

The Song Team will practice weekly on Thursdays from 4 p.m. to 5 p.m. starting Feb. 1 at the Los Alamitos Community Center.
Cheerleaders who take part in the Song Team will learn basic cheers and dances to perform at the Los Alamitos Co-ed Youth Basketball League games.

The Song Team will also perform for a final time on April 19 at the Co-ed Youth Basketball League Skills Contest.
