YouTube Shooter 'Could Be Illegal Alien:' Rep. Dana Rohrabacher

While discussing sanctuary states with Fox News, Rep. Rohrabacher said the YouTube shooting suspect "could be" an "illegal alien.

HUNTINGTON BEACH, CA — California GOP Rep. Dana Rohrabacher was criticized by multiple news outlets on Tuesday for his comments made during a Fox News interview at the end of a mass shooting at YouTube headquarters.

Though he was invited to speak on the issues regarding Huntington Beach's recent lawsuit against California for it's so-called sanctuary law, the Fox News broadcasters changed the subject and asked about the YouTube Shooting in San Bruno, instead. When asked about what Rohrabacher's fellow Californians must be going through, the Republican congressman did not stray from his talking points:

"You were going to discuss with me sanctuary cities and the sanctuary state movement, and it fits with what you are talking about right now," Rohrabacher told Fox News. "Would anyone be surprised?... we have a state government in California that is trying to prevent our law enforcement people from working with the federal law enforcement people to gather the criminal illegal aliens."

He continued the tirade, saying "Would anyone listening to you right now think, 'well, this certainly wouldn't be an illegal immigrant there'? Well, It could be! everyone knows it could be."

In Monday night's Huntington Beach City Council meeting, councilmembers voted 7-0 to seek a lawsuit against the state of California over the controversial Sanctuary State laws.
