Author Elisa Kleven with Story Time and "Apple Doll" Craft at Linden Tree after Pet Parade!

Indies First is the brainchild of Sherman Alexie, who asked his fellow authors to "… be a superhero for independent bookstores…" We are thrilled to welcome Elisa Kleven to be our special guest on Saturday, May 17!

Propelled by the enthusiasm of authors and booksellers, Indies First has become a national campaign, with thousands of participating authors, illustrators, and booksellers.

The special Story Time and Craft will cap a week-long celebration for Children’s Book Week, May 12-18.

We will feature Elisa’s Apple Doll book with a story time and apple doll craft.  Please RSVP to 650-949-3390 so we can plan for craft materials.
