Big-rig Crashes into Los Altos Home, Causing Heavy Damage

Authorities are still unsure how a big-rig truck crashed into a Los Altos home Wednesday afternoon.

At around 4 p.m. the commercial truck somehow crashed into the home on the 200 block Marvin Avenue, causing heavy damage.

The truck plowed through the gate, hit a small boat and ended up in the garage. No one inside the home was injured, officials said.

Santa Clara County Fire Department responded to the crash and transported the driver to the hospital.

It was unclear how the driver lost control of the truck or what his condition was.

No charges were expected, authorities said.
