The British Isles
Learn how to take a tour from an expert, and save money while having a wonderful holiday

Since I am from the British Isles and go home regularly, you can take my recommendations and know you are being guided by an expert on that part of the world. This is one of the top three destinations in the world and there is a trip for every budget. Four very special countries, with different languages, food, music, culture, customs, and national dress. These are not countries I recommend driving yourself since most of the roads are very narrow, high hedges, you are on the other side of the road and petrol is more than double what we pay in the U.S. In off the beaten track areas you will find many one lane roads with passing lanes and few petrol statins which close on Sundays. I asked one new client what was the highlight of the trip they had done on their own the previous year. The husband replied "the day I turned in the damned car at Heathrow Airport".
If this is your first trip, I would definitely go on a guided tour. You will get superior first class accommodations, breakfast daily and most dinners. For the single traveler, this is definitely the way to go. Group size can vary greatly and you will soon make friends. No matter which of the four tours you choose, I would recommend you fly in a day or two earlier than the tour leaves. You cannot rely on airlines getting you there on time so play safe and arrive early.
