All aboard for the Museum’s 15th annual Train Day! Train enthusiasts of all ages can explore steam and electric model trains, meet local railroad hobbyists, enjoy hands-on robotics activities, and participate in family-friendly activities throughout the day.
See operating model train layouts presented by the BAGRS Live Steam Group, Diablo Pacific Short Line, and Joan Hodnett and Chris Cross of the Golden State Toy Train Operating Society. Visitors can also watch classic train films in the Museum’s Geschke Gallery, enjoy robotics demonstrations by Menlo Park Narleotters, and get an up-close look at a train-themed float featured in the Festival of Lights Parade.
Food and refreshments will be available for purchase, including hot dogs, chicken and pork tamales, pretzels, and fresh-squeezed lemonade from The Bay’s Lemonade.
Admission: $10 per person; free for Museum members and children ages 12 and under. Pay at the gate.
