The Los Altos City Council invites Los Altos residents to apply for appointment to open seats on several Commissions and Committees. Each Commission and Committee contributes knowledge and expertise that helps guide and inform decisions made by the City Council. Serving on a Commission/Committee is a fantastic way to give-back to your community.
Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission
The Bicycle and Pedestrian Advisory Commission advises City Council on bicycle and pedestrian issues, recommends updates to the City’s Bicycle Transportation Plan and identifies and prioritizes projects that will improve bicycle and pedestrian safety and access within the City. (One position with term expiring in February 2017)

Design Review Commission
The Design Review Commission reviews and advises City Council on all single-family residential projects. (Three positions with terms expiring in February 2020; Two eligible incumbents.)

Financial Commission
The Financial Commission provides citizen input to the City Council and staff regarding financial policy issues and promotes citizen participation and understanding regarding the financial condition of the City. (Four positions with terms expiring in February 2020; Four eligible incumbents.)
Planning and Transportation Commission
The Planning and Transportation Commission advises the City Council on planning and transportation issues in the City. (Four positions with terms expiring in February 2020; Three eligible incumbents.)
Applicants must be residents of the City of Los Altos to be considered for an appointment.
Applications are due by Friday, January 29, 2016.
Applications can be picked-up at Los Altos City Hall, downloaded as a PDF, or submitted online. Submit completed applications to the City Clerk’s Office at City Hall.
