Cutting the Ribbon: Bumble Opening at 145 First St.
The new 'play cafe' for families had its ribbon cutting Friday at the 100-year-old Craftsman bungalow built by Los Altos' first librarian.
Mayor Ron Packard presided over Friday's ribbon cutting for Bumble, a cafe-cum-play-space opened by Mary Heffernan, a Los Altos resident, and mother of the three girls in the photo.
Bumble is open 9 a.m. to 8 p.m. seven days a week
It serves breakfast, lunch, light supper and afternoon tea. (Tip: The children's menu will surprise you.)

The supervised playroom is available for $5-$8 a half hour (memberships offer the best price) for diners.
