Earthquake Rattles South Bay, Peninsula
The quake struck at 11:14 a.m. Monday — did YOU feel it?

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA — A magnitude 2.8 earthquake rumbled parts of the South Bay and Peninsula late this morning, according to the U.S. Geological Survey. The quake struck at 11:14 a.m. and according to USGS, was centered about 3 miles south-southwest of Loyola, an unincorporated county area.
The temblor struck at a depth of about 4 miles and was felt in the nearby communities of Los Altos, Mountain View, Cupertino, San Jose, Palo Alto and Redwood City, as well as beyond in San Francisco, according to responses submitted to the USGS.
