History will come back to full, glorious life on the afternoon of September 30… tour downtown Los Altos as it might have been decades ago. Enjoy costumed docents interpreting some of our often-colorful historical personages… imagine a Boy Scout by the Shoup Building talking about how they held their meetings there in the 1920s, Mrs. Eschenbruecher talking about the time the artillery shell came through her roof into her kitchen (thanks to WWI trainees in Palo Alto), and maybe even Isabelle Merriman (Sarah Winchester’s sister) ranting about how the railroad “stole” her ranch from her…?
Your ticket gets you all this, PLUS a commemorative print featuring an image from our collection and a post-party with fine wines, vintage cars and the Wells Fargo stagecoach! The one-hour tour starts at the S.P. depot (most recently Maria’s Antiques) followed by the party.
Don’t miss it – we may not do it again for another 60 years!
