Join us for a journey back to Ellis Island in the year 1892 when young Annie Moore, an Irish girl, becomes the first immigrant to land on Ellis Island. Between 1892 and 1954 when Ellis Island closed, over 5 million Irish immigrants came to “Amerikay.” Musicians Stephen S. Gill, Mollie Hudner Thompson, and Karl Franzen will perform the stories and songs these newcomers told and sang.
