1. Stanford Blood Center Groovy Hillview BBQ Deal: Donate blood at the Hillview Center in Palo Alto on July 6 and enjoy a free BBQ, free AMC movie ticket or tie-dyed T-shirt, and entry into a prize drawing. Good Through: July 6 only.

2. Stanford Jazz Festival Deal: Free and inexpensive concerts throughout the summer, including "Early Bird Jazz for Kids" July 9 and "Everything You Wanted to Know About Jazz" July 10. Good Through: August 4.

3. City of Palo Alto Twilight Concert Series Deal: Free concerts every Saturday night from 6:30-8pm at various Palo Alto parks. Good Through: August 20.

4. Deal: Competitive prices and great sales on foot-friendly shoes. Good Through: Ongoing.

5. Deal: Save anywhere from $5 to $22 on the July specials. Good Through: July 31.
