Why Go:  The Third Place invites women of the community to reflect on the well-being of women, with guest presenter Rona Renner, RN, radio show host and founder of Interactive Parenting Media. Wine bar, heavy appetizers and dessert.

Where/When:  , 111 Main St, Los Altos, Saturday, 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. 

Why Go: Learn what your home can be for you. Not just the place you live, but as the place where you really recharge and get your center and your focus.  Attend this workshop with  Tess Whitehurst, the author of Magical Housekeeping: Simple Charms and Practical Tips for Creating a Harmonious Home, and you will find out more about what your home can really be.

Why Go: This is the way the Los Altos Rotary Club raises money each year to support local nonprofits, including the YWCA. Explore the outdoors and explore the art, which is juried, on display.

Why Go:  Roy Nordblom III, greenbuilder and sustainable-construction consultant, will teach about graywater methods, including using washing-machine water. Must be at least 16 to attend.
