Gingerbread, Tree Lighting, Holiday Camps Round Out Festivities

Los Altos pulls out all the stops -- and baking sheets for its Gingerbread House Exhibit sure to delight everyone in your festive clan.

LOS ALTOS, CA -- Christmas is about more than lights, gifts and winter. The Gingerbread House exhibit is now open at Hillview Community Center on Hillview Avenue in Los Altos. The exhibit is open weekdays from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. – noon. The smell of ginger will permeate Room 2.

For the absolute traditional of festivities, Los Altos will celebrate its Annual Tree Lighting with a new addition of Cookies with Santa at the Hillview Community Center Senior Center in Rooms 10, 11 and 12 from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Dec. 4. Along with the Gingerbread House exhibit, entertainment includes Cookies with Santa, Lyric Victorian Carolers and Bel Canto Flute Choir. Refreshments will be provided by the Los Altos Sunset Rotary and Los Altos Senior Center.

Everyone loves the holidays for an escape. There are a variety of holiday camps available before and after the holidays designed for youth ages 3 to 13. Holiday Camps include Coding 1-2-3, Mining & Crafting, Model Design(STEM), Camp Candy Cane, New Year’s Adventure Camp.
