Hidden Villa, a local educational organization, will host a summertime film series, featuring films that spotlight local and international change-makers. On June 29th at 5pm Soul of Justice: Thelton Henderson’s American Journey will be screened. A potluck and rare opportunity for discussion with filmmaker and Duveneck Dinner 2014 honoree, Abby Ginzberg, will follow viewing.
Throughout his career on the federal bench, Judge Henderson has stood for civility, compassion and human dignity. He served as the first legal aid attorney in East Palo Alto, became the Assistant Dean at Stanford Law School and has ruled upon issues such as turning down California 's controversial affirmative action initiative and, most recently, the case of medical care in California prisons. Join us in conversation and community as we celebrate a trailblazer in justice.
Admission is free, though registration is required
