Los Altos/LAH January 2012 Home Sales Report
Sales were slow, but a sub-$1 million home went above asking price, seven days after being placed on the market.
Local home sales dropped as expected in January as buyers and sellers took a break for the holidays.
According to the latest home sales report, 11 homes changed hands in the first month of 2012. They include eight single-family residences and three townhomes or condominiums. Most of the homes sold are entry-level properties; and despite the recent rise in sales in Los Altos Hills, only one closed sale in the hills last month.
