LOCAL PARTNERS TEAM UP TO BRING HOLIDAY DINNERS TO FAMILIES IN NEED

LOS ALTOS, Calif. December 9, 2014—This year, Option 1 Staffing is partnering with the Rosalie Rendu Center to service others and provide healthy and filling meals to eight families in need during this holiday season.

After years of donating toys for tots, one underlying issue remained. The children loved the toys, but without energy or nutrition, the comfort of a toy could only do so much. Option 1 Staffing and the Rosalie Rendu Center are working to change that.

This collaboration introduces an initiative to bring wholesome holiday dinners to those who need them the most. Because when you’re hungry, nothing else matters.

The Rosalie Rendu Center and Option 1 Staffing will provide families with a great ham dinner and all the trimmings, organized into a beautiful Christmas meal. Both organizations are looking for donations from local community members and organizations. Donated items can include:

  • Ham, Oil
  • Canned green beans, Fresh Potatoes
  • Canned corn, Fresh carrots
  • Canned yams, Cookies
  • Sparkling cider, Christmas plates, napkins & utensils

If you have any of these items lying in your pantry and can find it in your heart to help a family in need, we will help you put them to good use!

Any and all donations help. If you would like to contribute to a family in need of a filling holiday meal, bring your donation(s) to the Option 1 office at 4410 El Camino Real #110 in Los Altos. We are accepting donations until December 18. We look forward to your contribution! Thank you.

The Rosalie Rendu Center, located in the Carriage Manor Apartments in East Palo Alto, strives to break the cycle of poverty by educating, mentoring and raising the self-esteem of the entire family. The Daughters of Charity Ministry Services Corporation (DOCMSC) and donors from the broader community support the Center financially.

Founded by industry professionals, Option 1 Staffing is a local, established, privately-owned staffing leader in the Bay Area.
