Los Altos Easter Worship Schedule

We added one more Easter service—out of town—because it is a markedly different service, and some people may be looking for something outof the ordinary.

SUNRISE SERVICE AT MOUNT DAVIDSON San Francisco's "grandest Easter morning tradition" takes place at 7 a.m. at the 82-foot-high cross at Mount Davidson, San Francisco's highest point, located near Myra Drive and Dalewood Way, according to mtdavidson.org. The 91st annual service is led by local clergy and includes music from gospel, bagpipes and brass ensemble groups and other performances, organizer Glenn Gullmes said. City dignitaries, from the mayor to fire chief are expected to attend the event, which brings as many as 500 people in the hushed pre-dawn stillness. While predicted rain may thin those crowds, Gullmes said to Bay City News, "You can't beat the view." Special bus servicebegins at 5:15 a.m. and runs every 15 minutes from Forest Hill Station to the park gate located at the intersection of Lansdale Avenue, Myra Drive and Dalewood Way – two blocks south of Portola Drive.
