Los Altos High Celebrates STEM Week
Special keynote speaker Dr. Judy Melinek appears today -- Monday -- at 7 p.m. in talk open to public.

Los Altos High School is wrapping the 9th year of its Science and Tech Week and is hosting a keynote speaker today -- Monday -- at 7 p.m. --Dr. Judy Melinek, MD, author of Working Stiff: Two Years, 262 Bodies, and the Making of a Medical Examiner.
Dr. Melinek, currently the Alameda County Sheriff’s Office coroner, will speak from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. in the Eagle Theater. Her talk is open to the public and there will be copies of her book for sale and an author signing
The high school’s STEM week catered to students during their math and science class times throughout the school day last week, including a visit from Ralph Aceves, CEO of ProseWave Inc. who spoke to AVID classes.
