Los Altos Hills Fire Causes $60,000 in Damage

Fire investigators have traced the cause of the fire.

Firefighters extinguished a fire early this morning in Los Altos Hills caused by heat from a lamp, according to the Santa Clara County Fire Department.

The fire occurred at an office on Fremont Road at about 1:30 a.m., causing $50,000 in damage to the building and $10,000 in damage to the building’s contents.

Fire officials said heat from a lamp set a cardboard box on fire, which spread to an adjacent wall.
