Los Altos Mountain Lion Sighting Was Second In Recent Weeks: Police
A resident gave police a video surveillance clip showing a mountain lion was roaming the property, police said.

LOS ALTOS, CA — A mountain lion was spotted Thursday night in Los Altos, police said. At about 10:15 p.m. Sept. 14, police went to Kring Way after someone called to report seeing a mountain lion growling in the backyard of a home.
Officers did not find the animal but a resident later gave police a video surveillance clip showing a mountain lion was roaming the property.
Police said someone reported seeing a mountain late one night about a week ago in the same area.

Police said they'll work with Palo Alto Animal Services and the Midpeninsula Regional Open Space District to monitor the area.
Anyone who sees a mountain lion in their neighborhood is asked to call 911 or the Police Department's business line at 650-947-2770.
