Los Altos Residents Finish Marine Marathon
Four local residents traveled to Washington, D.C. for the marathon.
More than 30,000 runners raced through the streets of Washington, D.C. Sunday for the annual Marine Corp Marathon.
Among the finishers were four Los Altos Residents:
- Irene Bunner
- Sepideh Ghafari
- John Johnson
- Paul Johnson
The marathon is the fourth largest in the U.S. and the ninth in the world. Its nickname is "The People's Marathon" because it’s the largest marathon in the world that doesn't offer prize money.
