Man Arrested In Connection With Vehicle Theft, Break-In In Los Altos

A 26 year old from San Jose was arrested in connection with a home break-in and vehicle theft, according to the Los Altos Police Department.

Officers were called Feb. 17 to the 100 block of Pine Lane after a citizen reported that he had just interrupted someone attempting to steal his vehicle. However, the subject fled on foot, jumping fences into yards in the area of Chateau Drive and Dior Terrance and was not apprehended, police said.

On the same day, a residential burglary and vehicle theft was reported on the 200 block of Triannon Way.

Los Altos detectives said this week that they obtained evidence and information allegedly linking the subject, Julian Baldes Alvarado, to the burglary and stolen vehicle, and he was arrested.
