PHOTOS: Construction at The Old 'Pumpkin Patch'

Patch takes you around the construction at the former Mardesich Farm on the Los Altos-Mountain View border, where 53 homes are being built.

At the place of the old 'Pumpkin Patch' on Grant Road, new model homes have sprung up, with many more on the way.

Construction of The Enclave at Waverly Place project, approved in June of 2009. The project broke ground on Oct. 26. Fifty-three single-family homes will be erected on Paul Mardesich's land that used to be ,' where a farm stand of summer corn and other produce were sold, and, of course, pumpkins in October.

Currently, six homes are being constructed at a time, pending the sale of the completed properties. The project also includes . With the paving of that intersection last week, the traffic signal allowed cars—though mostly construction vehicles—to come out of the property for the first time.
