Public Meeting: VTA's El Camino Real Bus Rapid Transit Project

VTA is proposing Bus Rapid Transit enhancements on El Camino Real to make bus service fast, frequent and reliable.

VTA is upgrading transit service along Santa Clara County’s three busiest transit corridors with the addition of Bus Rapid Transit. Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) consists of a number of enhancements to make bus service along El Camino Real fast, frequent and reliable. The El Camino Real BRT Project spans approximately 17 miles along El Camino Real from San José SAP Center to Palo Alto.

After months of planning, environmental analysis, public meetings and listening to community comments, VTA is releasing the Draft Environmental Impact Report/Environmental Assessment for the El Camino Real Bus Rapid Transit Project. VTA will hold four public hearings/meetings to share the draft results and listen to comments and concerns from the community. VTA is evaluating seven alternatives (including station options and options that vary the extent of the general use lane to be replaced for BRT). Please attend in order to share with VTA which alternative you prefer.

To learn more or offer formal comments about the project, please attend one of the following public hearings/meetings. The same format and content will be offered at each meeting:
