With Sunday's downpours, Spring has officially arrived.

Syd Boutique, which opened three years ago in Rancho Shopping Center, is here to guide embracers of spring in their quest to find the perfect outfit—or outfits—to herald the transition to warmer weather. The perfect spring outfit is fun, flirty and makes you enjoy going outside. According to Durana Temor, sales manager at Syd Boutique, the perfect spring outfit also includes colors that pop and a little twist in design that strays outside the box. “You are the trend!” she said.

Expect to see lots of white, neutrals, blues and persimmon for spring clothing collections. Additionally, large patterns and floral prints are also in this season. Syd Boutique has ensured that you will be ready for spring with its offerings of maxi dresses, cardigans, strappy sandals, loose, flowing t-shirts and skirts.

When I walked into the bright, citron-colored shop, it looked as though spring had already arrived, despite the ominous gray clouds outside. When you first enter, there is a table displayed with many pairs of beautiful shoes that literally shine from the chandeliers above. The shop has a lot of clothes and they are all by well-known, tried and true designers and brands. I instantly thought that this is the kind of place I could easily lose myself in and spend a lot of money.

If you sometimes have trouble putting together an outfit, offers a solution. Its free personal shopping service helps customers revive old outfits or build new ones. “For example, we helped one of our customers bring in her ‘don’t-know-what-to-do’ pile of old clothes and helped her by putting together different ways to wear them and reviving them by adding a few piece of new selection,” Temor said.

Syd Boutique also gives back to the community by participating in national, regional and local charity events, including our local schools. Recently they hosted a local fashion show to raise funds for the American Cancer Society. In the past, they have also donated 20 percent of their profits for a six-month period.
