1 p.m.: The “Rules” of the Publishing Game: The Times They Are A-Changin’
2:30 p.m.: Face-off: Thriller versus Mysteries. (What’s the Difference and Which Is Better?)
Mystery writers Catriona McPherson and Cara Black will face off against thriller writers Alan Jacobson and Sheldon Siegel in crime fiction’s version of the Ultimate Fighting Championship.4 p.m.: Down and Dirty Reviews
5 p.m.: Socializing
All the authors will be around talking about writing and their books. They probably can even be convinced to sign a copy of one of their brilliant novels for you!Special bonus: If you are an independently published author, contact us - angelam@keplers.com - and (until space runs out) we will arrange for you to have a table where you can sell your books.
And finally, announcing the Kepler's Crime Fiction Prize!
For an unpublished crime fiction novel by an unpublished (fiction) author. The story must have a mystery, thriller, or suspense element.
Submit the first 25 pages to angelam@keplers.com(please put Kepler's Crime Fiction Prize in the subject line) or via mail to Angela Mann, Kepler's Books, 1010 El Camino Real, Menlo Park CA 94025.
Judging will be done by Kepler's staff. The winner will have his/her book - once published - featured in the window of the store for at least a week.
Submissions must be received by June 6.
