For adults age 50+ Superfoods are a special category of foods found in nature. By definition they are calorie sparse and nutrient dense meaning they pack a lot of punch for their weight as far as goodness goes.

There is a lot of information out there about the health benefits of superfoods such as acai berries, fish oil, green tea and dark chocolate. We will discuss the basis of these claims and the chemicals in these foods that have the potential to help prevent heart disease, cancer, high cholesterol and more. Real examples from scientific research studies will be discussed to provide the information you need to make your own decisions.
The information will be presented in simple terms to make it easy to understand. The seminar is presented by a Ph.D. Chemist from Johns Hopkins University. Lunch will be served.
