Who Makes The Best Latkes? Upcoming Contest To Decide!
A "Hanukkah Latke Cooking Competition" is planned at Whole Foods Los Altos with teams, celebrity judges, book-signing and LATKE SAMPLING!

SANTA CLARA COUNTY, CA – Whole Foods Market Los Altos, Jewish Study Network, and the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center are teaming up to host a Hanukkah Latke Cooking Contest on Dec. 19 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Attendees can watch four Bay Area culinary teams race against the clock to create the tastiest, most original potato latkes and earn the title “Top Latke Chef.”
Effie Speigler, Executive Chef, The Oakland Stadium and Kenji Lopez-Alt, author “The Food Lab,” will judge the competition. Rabbi Joey Felsen will serve as master of ceremonies.

During the competition, shoppers can sample potato latkes and other kosher treats. Following the competition, there will be a book giveaway of “The Food Lab” and book signing by Kenji Lopez-Alt.
“The Jewish Study Network is really looking forward to partnering with Whole Foods Market in this competition. It is a great way for the community to come together and prepare for Chanukah,” said Rabbi Felsen.
