My husband, Roy and I spent our honeymoon in Hawaii, and have gone back every year for our anniversary. Even after 49 years, it is a very special place to us. We have visited all six islands, and love them all. It’s the food, the people, the flowers, the music, and the atmosphere which makes it special to us. I still love getting an orchid lei, and having a nice piece of pineapple in my Mai tai with my loved one watching the sunset.

Many people from the West Coast choose Hawaii, Tahiti, Fiji if they want a beach destination for golf, diving, snorkeling, because of the shorter flight time. A very reasonable South Pacific destination is the Cook Islands governed by New Zealand.

What has surprised me lately is the number of people choosing the Maldives and the Seychelles which is a long way to go. These are very popular for Europeans to visit, but not usually from America. I think it’s a case of people want to go somewhere out of the ordinary and the Indian Ocean does have some wonderful properties if you have extra time.

England is the No.l European destination, with France and Italy as No. 2 and 3. Depends on what you want to do. I recommend a few days in London, see the sights, go to the theatre, then take the Euro Star train to Paris, and spend a few days there. It is so convenient, just two hours and ten minutes from city center to city center. I never fly from London to Paris now. Why spend six hours getting there. Anything is possible if you are dealing with a travel specialist who knows how to get things done. Because we are part of the Signature Travel Network which does nine billion in sales, when we book a hotel, (we have a thousand in our VIP directory) they automatically give you an upgrade, a free breakfast, early check in and late check out, but some other amenities which vary from property to property such as airport transfers, a free spa treatment, free golf game so the savings can be substantial for our clients. We know where the packages have great benefits, such as book for seven nights, only pay for five nights, and a very popular benefit is $100 dining credit.

Greece has always been popular and a few days in Athens, then a visit to one of its islands is always a success. We sell a lot of island cruises which gives you the benefit of seeing more than one island. The most popular islands are Mykonos, Santorini and Crete.

We not only give you recommendations for restaurants, but also sightseeing. We can VIP you wherever we have valuable connections.

We have lots of suggestions for you if you fancy a trip to the Caribbean, the Bahamas, or Bermuda.

The Dominican Republic is a golfers dream location. Costa Rica is also a good destination.

Mexico is a great destination with world class spas, whether it be Cancun or Los Cabos, we have numerous hotel recommendations for you to choose from.

It pays to have an expert looking out for you. One of our clients is going to Europe and wanted a business class seat before he took a river cruise. The air was $6,600 and he needed four tickets. The travel consultant saw a computer message from another major airline, for 24 hours only, business class $2200. She rang him, and suggested it be booked. He saved $17,600, He was delighted at her efficiency. Because we do a lot of corporate business, all airlines send us daily information which doesn’t go out to the general public.

What’s on your bucket list? Don’t put it off, you don’t know what is around the corner in health, enjoy life while you can.
