911 Service Goes Down For 1,700 Landline Phones In Blossom Hill Area

LOS GATOS, CA – UPDATED: WEDNESDAY, NOV. 23, 4:22 a.m.

Police say that 911 service has been restored for roughly 1,700 landline telephones that went down Tuesday afternoon in Los Gatos.

The Los Gatos Monte Sereno Police Department issued a statement online just before 4 p.m. saying that landline phone service, including access to 911, was down in the Blossom Hill area.

Technicians working to get the phone system working again restored service at 6:37 p.m., according to police.

Meanwhile, affected residents were asked to refrain from testing their landline on 911, police said.
