A Nearly Wordless Blog (for those of you I put to sleep)

This morning I was talking with my friend, Gene Faucher, a long time graphic designer and painter, and I remembered an interesting design I had seen across the street from Coffee Roasting.  A store window had been hit with a bullet, but as it was safety glass, it didn’t shatter, it broke into tiny cells that were basically rectangular.  The rectangles sprayed out in a very complex but attractive arches.  Gene took a picture of the busted window with his really nice camera and then I took a picture with the lousy camera in my phone (the one just below).  We went on chatting and turned the corner and we came upon a planted window box, the next pic.  Once again, we both took pics of this.

Then it hit me, we are always surrounded by art, at least, artful things.  I decided to make a day of it.  I went down Santa Cruz Avenue clicking the camera in my phone.  And then, it struck me, the Plien Air art show is this weekend.  If I could paint, these would be my submissions, but I’m not, so, you folks can dig it.

(the conclusion of this post is nearly entirely pictures.  I'm having trouble with connecting links here on the Patch.  Click on this web address to get to the site with the pics.  If it doesn't operate, cut and paste it into the address bar of your browser to get there: http://lgartbridge.com/wordpress/?p=2568
